Toronto has many establishments that include “wine bar” in their name. However in my opinion, the best Toronto wine bars should first of all be either a standalone bar or a separate bar section in a restaurant, and secondly be an establishment that focuses a lot of its energy on offering a good selection of wines by the glass. In other words, you want a place that you can drop by to sample some good vino without necessarily spending a fortune on food. Here are some establishments that fulfill these criteria.
If you do want food as well, check out Wine Restaurants for how to access Wine Spectator’s list of Toronto restaurants that have an excellent wine cellar.
