Luhambo Tours is a Cape Town-based tour operator and a wine tours specialist. The word Luhambo means journey in Xhosa – one of the native languages. They offer a day long wine tour to Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, which I can heartily recommend. They also offer a full Cape Peninsula tour including the Cape of Good Hope and the Penguin colony in the morning, followed by lunch, and wine tastings at two of South Africa’s oldest and most famous wine estates in Constantia in the afternoon. Private tours can be arranged on request.
Wine Flies are based in Cape Town and run regular day long wine tours to Stellenbosch only, and a combined tour to Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. They also offer private tours further afield to Wellington, Swartland, Robertson, Bonnievale and surrounding areas. In addition, they offer cultural food and drink tours and helicopter wine tours. They also run a half day wine tour to Stellenbosch for those that are time pressed.
